Ken Ludwig’s TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMASis a playful, spirited, Christmas comedy which follows the adventures of a spunky girl, a wacky mouse and an elf to solve a holiday mystery. Hijinx is an understatement – this journey is loaded with schemes, mistaken identities, duels, and a hip-hop number that will bring down the house. There may even be an appearance by Santa….

All talent must have a valid Drivers License(Must be at least 18 years of age and able and willing to drive for this tour).

This is NOT a musical. Seeking theatre actors with imaginative personalities, great comedic timing and excellent facility with language. We are actively seeking a diverse cast for this show.

SEEKING:

SIR GUY OF GISBOURNE/ UNCLE BRIERLY:  (Male – 20s-30s to play older, Any Ethnicity) Sir Guy Of Gisbourne is an Ex-Elf who is too wicked for the North Pole (if Jon Snow from Game of Thrones were evil). Uncle Brierly is a jolly man with a hearty laugh – he’s the uncle you have always wanted at Christmas Time. Seeking a versatile character actor with great comedic timing for this role.

AMOS/AMOS OF KANSAS (LEAD):(Male, Female and all Gender Identities, 20s-30s to play Mouse, Any Ethnicity) Amos is a mouse who tries to be calm but is a nervous mouse underneath it all. Amos of Kansas is the Western twin of Amos. He is philosophical and relaxed. Seeking a high energy, charming actor who can win over the audience and drive the show. Must have excellent comedic timing.

EMILY (LEAD):(Female, 20s to play 10-15 ys, Any Ethnicity) A passionate gal with a zest for life. Playful, smart and ready for any adventure. Must have excellent comedic timing and the spirit of a child.

CALLIOPE/BRITTANIA SNEED: (Female, 20s-30s, All Ethnicities) Calliope is a loving, warm and sweet Elf who embodies Christmas Magic. Brittania Sneed is a wacky friend of Uncle Brierly. Seeking a transformative character actor with great comedic timing for this role.

MULCH/SANTA CLAUSE/WENDELL SNEED: (Male, 20s-40s, All Ethnicities) Mulch is a side kick of Sir Guy Of Gisbourne (think Peter Pettigrew from Harry Potter). He’s a bit clueless – there’s not much upstairs! Wendell Sneed is a wacky friend of Uncle Briarly. Santa is, well, Santa! Seeking a transformative character actor with great comedic timing for this role.
