Lemontree Ambassador Role

Lemontree Foods
New York, NY 10013

Job Details

We know you were probably looking for a role on stage, but how about something in real life?

There are more hungry people in New York than there are citizens of San Francisco. At Lemontree, we show up to work every day to solve this problem. We’re a non-profit that sells family dinner. Our systemic solution helps low-income families set the table with a dignified, affordable and healthy dinner. We deliver meal-kits with everything a parent needs to cook a delicious meal for just $2 per serving.

Be a part of the solution. We’re looking for energetic, empathetic, and friendly candidates to represent us at tabling events at community centers in Brooklyn. While no specific experience is required, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable talking to people and exudes positive energy.

Preferred (but not required) qualifications:

  • Background in customer service and/or sales
  • Naturally outgoing & motivated
  • Genuine desire to help families put dinner on the table
  • Experience in & understanding of community engagement
  • Fluency in Spanish is a big plus!

These events are typically during school drop-off and pick-up times (Mon-Fri ~8-10:30 am; ~2-5 pm), but the exact times vary by location. You should be available 1-3 days per week during these hours. We have a very busy September & October, so there are lots of opportunities to get involved!

To apply, send us an email with the subject line “Lemontree Ambassador”. Please answer the following questions in the email:

1.Tell me about why you’re a good fit for this role.

2. Describe your favorite meal in 100 words or less.
