Seeking NYC Actors for Play Featuring Queer/Trans Voices!
I am currently casting for an independent AEA showcase production of a new play called Lovebird Jamboree, part of this summer's Fresh Fruit Festival.
Lovebird Jamboree by Sarah Elisabeth Brown is a monologue cycle (in the style of The Vagina Monologues) set in the early 2000s, featuring firsthand accounts from Queer & Trans voices.
Role descriptions are below.
Auditions will take place on Wednesday, June 12th, between 6pm and 10pm at Shetler Studios. Taped submissions will also be accepted.
NOTE: We intend to cast trans actors in all trans roles & are particularly interested in putting together as diverse a cast as possible.

Performances: July 9 @ 8:00pm, July 12 @ 8:30pm, July 13 @ 1:30pm
ARLIN - Gay man. A flamboyant gym junkie, speaks of his brand new romance.
SADIE - 50+ year old Lesbian woman. A Midwesterner makes Jell-O Salad and speaks of the unexpected turns her love life has taken.
PLUM - Young bisexual trans woman (M2F). A street prostitute speaks of her Sugar daddy and lesbian lover.
MONTY - Gay man. Dreams of being a superhero as he prepares to impregnate his lesbian friend.
EDEN - 40+ year old Lesbian woman. An academic whose love goes unrequited.
ABBY - Butch lesbian woman. A softball jock prepares for her wedding day with the woman she loves.
STEVE - 40+ year old Trans man (F2M). Speaks of finding self love through transitioning from female to male.
