Detroit Public Theatre seeks a Marketing and Box Office Director to join the company full time in January or February of 2020. This is a new position with a growing company.
Salary Range: $38,000 - $42,000 with growth projected in the next two years.
Health Benefits offered in August of 2020.
Primary Responsibilities for Box Office are:
*Oversee the overall day to day operations of the ticketing department from the daily sales and daytime and evening operations
*Ensure a hospitable, smooth, and efficient operation
*Responsible for programming, monitoring, and setting up of a new ticketing system
*Manage daily sales, deposits, and ticket account management and fulfillment
*Develop and manage subscription campaign
*This role is highly visible and interacts with sponsors, vendors and clients
*This position provides the highest level of customer service to all guests, vendors and clients
Primary responsibilities for the Marketing department are:
*Manage all advertising and promotions efforts
*Create, edit, and distribute eblast content
*Create and publish Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram content
*Oversee distribution of posters and postcards
*Research and purchase advertising buys
*Act a primary contact and coordinator for all printing needs
*Collect and layout text for all programs and mange proofing process
*Develop an audience engagement plan
*Network with the local community to build relationships
*Coordinate and attend media opportunities
*Coordinate and proofread all press release information
*Two to three years Box Office experience
*Two years marketing experience
*Must be able to work well independently and to manage, train, and motivate others
*Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills required
*Candidate must be able to successfully handle multiple priorities in high stress situations
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other Windows applications required
*Position requires the ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, as well as being able to perform in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
*Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills
*Ability to prioritize, identify critical issues and work towards results
*Ability to work with multiple organizations and vendors proactively and professionally
*Strong networking skills
