DESCRIPTION

Quintessence Theatre Group (QTG) seeks a Marketing and Box Office Manager to oversee operations of the box office, grow earned revenue through ticket sales, increase brand awareness, and maximize community participation for Quintessence Theatre Group. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Artistic Director, the Marketing and Box Office Manager will ensure that all advertising, messaging, and collateral materials fully represent the mission and values of Quintessence Theatre. This individual will enable the exciting growth of an award-winning professional classic theater company in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Northwest Philadelphia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Box Office: 

    Oversee the overall day to day operations of the ticketing department from the daily sales to scheduling box office staff. 

    Program and monitor the Patron Manager ticketing system, tracking daily sales and deposits, ticket account management and fulfillment.

    Ensure that the highest level of customer service is delivered during all moments of the patron experience by proactively managing the Box Office.

    Supervise and direct the performance of and inspire a results-driven environment for Box Office Associates, Volunteer Coordinator, House Manager and volunteers. 

    Oversee the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly sales of tickets and entering and submitting data as required.

    Reconcile any issues between ticket sales and the bookkeeper. 

    Work closely with Managing Director on executing proper cash handling and cash control procedures. 

    Recommend appropriate demand-based pricing adjustments resulting from sales analysis.

    Initiate and develop subscriptions and Group Sales initiatives.

    Initiate promotions for events in a committed effort to achieve attendance and revenue goals.

Marketing:

    Work with Managing Director to create and direct the implementation of an integrated marketing strategy and sales plan to support subscription, single ticket, and group sales goals through traditional tactics as well as in contemporary channels of digital media, direct response, and out-of-home advertising.

    Manage content and messaging for website and digital communications, including targeted email marketing, video production, and social media.

    Serve and protect the Quintessence Theatre brand as the brand manager.

    Work with publicist to generate consistent local, regional, and national media interest. Embrace other earned revenue and community visibility responsibilities as needed.

    Establish standardized reporting metrics to provide business intelligence regarding direct response rates and website data analytics.

    Prepare annual income goals for earned revenue with the Managing Director.

    Embrace other data analytics and financial accountability responsibilities as needed.



EXPERIENCE

    Minimum of 3 years in box office, marketing, and/or management/administration (preferably theater)

    Proven track record in providing excellent front-line customer service and meeting sales goals.

    Experience in interpreting statistical data that advances decision making.

    Keen attention to detail, as well as excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills are critical to success in the role.

    Desirable: Experience with PatronManager and QuickBooks Online.

DETAILS

Full Time Permanent/Exempt Position to start immediately. 

Salary range:  starting at $32,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
