Caramoor is seeking a full-time hourly Membership Assistant and Donor Concierge to join their team.
About the Job: The Membership Assistant and Donor Concierge serves as a point-person for high-level donor ticket purchases as well as providing administrative support to the Director of Individual Gifts and Caramoor’s Membership program overall. This role reports to the Director of Individual Gifts and works closely with Box Office, Visitor Services, Special Events, and Marketing. The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Three plus (3+) years of experience in customer service/administration and/or fundraising in a nonprofit setting. Command of MS Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Working knowledge of fundraising and ticketing databases -Raisers Edge and Spektrix- or similar systems is preferred.
Customer Service & Communication: Must have a friendly and professional attitude and work well with the public to navigate different personality types among stakeholders including, guests, volunteers, donors, artists, vendors, staff & Board of Trustees. Professional phone manner with impeccable interpersonal skills; Expert verbal and written communication skills with the ability to listen carefully to donors, as well as colleagues.
Collaboration: Ability to work as part of the Caramoor family in a positive and professional manner. Willingness to be very hands-on, organized and flexible to work on a variety of assigned tasks.
Administrative: Ability to maintain confidentiality about the institution, its donors and staff; highly organized and detail oriented with a strong work ethic. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new opportunities. Strong problem-solving skills, displaying grace under pressure; Prioritize and execute multiple projects while maintaining excellent organizational capabilities and keen attention to detail.

Working Conditions: Ability to work in a busy festival environment, maneuver outdoors (in all weather conditions) on 90 acres of woodland trails, gravel path ways and spectacular gardens. Flexibility to work during weekends and evenings as needed for events. Ability to lift/move up to 25lbs.
