The Araca Group is seeking applications for role of Touring Merchandise Retail Manager.

Job Description:

Merchandise Retail Managers supervise merchandise sales operations for one of our upcoming 2019 - 2020 national tours.

The Merchandise Retail Manager will be responsible at each tour venue for setting up the retail sales area, conducting sales, maintaining inventory, and completing administrative reports. The Merchandise Retail Manager will report to one of Araca’s Operations Managers in New York.

 Job Expectations:

  1. Conduct sales in a professional and helpful manner, consistent with the highest principles of customer service. 
  2. Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills in the context of retail operations.
  3. Act as liaison between Araca, the tour’s artistic and management teams, and venue management. 
  4. Maintain a courteous and professional attitude, projecting a positive image of the company at all times.

Job Duties:

  1. Oversee touring retail logistics, including loading merchandise kiosks in and out of each tour stop and preparing sales areas.
  2. Manage and track inventory and submit accurate inventory reports.  
  3. Sell merchandise and provide courteous and helpful product information to customers.
  4. Oversee local sales associates as required.
  5. Maintain cash and credit card receipts and submit daily and weekly accountings and deposits.  
  6. Liaise with local management to ensure efficient retail operations. 


  • Prior management and customer service experience.
  • Able to maintain a “customer-first” attitude and prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Self-directed problem solver, able to think strategically and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Available to travel with the tour for the duration of the engagement throughout the US and Canada with a one-year commitment to this position.
  • Must have a valid US passport with minimum 12 months remaining before expiration.
