From The Creators & Producers of "Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical", "An Evening With Phyllis Hyman" brings you:
"A Soulful Christmas" is a 1970's Christmas Revue that includes traditional holiday and gospel songs. The audience is part of the show as they came to watch a live taping of Groovy Wonderland aka SOUL TRAIN. The show also contains skits and dance numbers. This is our 3rd year Off Broadway with "A Soulful Christmas". Seeking: NON UNION PERFORMERS (Male & Female) All Must Be Able To Sing & Dance and play multiple roles! Please see Character Breakdown:

Ron Cornelius: African American Male- He's The Host of Groovy Wonderland(Soul Train) must have impeccable improv skills and a smooth style/flow when interviewinghis guests. Ron is the leader and of the show, must be charasmatic, charming, comedic and knows how to make the audience have a good time.

Ensemble Females: All Races: ages-20-35: Must be able to sing! Church Style Soulful Singing is a Must! Must be able to dance and learn choreography numbers in heels. These women will also be included in skits as well. Specifially Seeking African American Women to be a part of The Supremes, Tammi Ferrell, Martha Reeves

Ensemble Male: African-American ages-20-35: Must be able to sing! Church Style Soulful Singing is a Must. Seeking Men to be in The Temptations Group, Donny Hathaway, The Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye. Specifically Seeking a male that sings bass and a male that can play Santa Claus.

Don Cornelius Monologue: (He's opening the show): Thank You, Thank You. You all are too kind. Please have a seat. (Motions to the audience) You guys don't worry, because you won't be down there too long, we got some of the best acts to make you boogie to the neat. Yes, it's cold outside but we're about to heat things up with our special holiday edition show. You're about to see some of your favorite stars bring to life the soul of Christmas in a grrovy way. Tonight, We're so lucky to have on our stage for you, Miss Tiana Ross and The Extremes, Keisha Knight and The Tips, The Sensations, Jenna Marie, Lonnie Hathaway and a few more surprises. Let's get this night rolling and hop straight into Wonderland! Here's a Group of five talented brotheres thats no stranger to this stage. Burning up the charts with songs like I Want You Back, I'll Be There and Dancing Machine. These young brothers are from up the street in Harlem. Anybody here tonight from Harlem? (Takes a Beat) Well, I'm a brooklyn brother myself, but it's all love baby. Here they are back again. Here's Tito, Marlon, Jackie, Jermaine and Lil Michael but you all know them as THE HARLEM 5!
