DESCRIPTION

THIS PROGRAM IS FOR CURRENT COLLEGE STUDENTS AND RECENT HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE GRADUATES

Spend part of your winter break in New York City training and performing at an award-winning, Off-Broadway Theatre! See two Broadway shows, work with Broadway professionals on a daily basis, and perform your final showcase on the York's Off-Broadway stage! Family, friends and theatre professionals will be invited to attend the final showcase. Several of our students were called in to audition for one of Broadway's biggest hits as a direct result of our program. Admission to the program is by video audition. For more information: www.yorktheatre.org. Please check out the video in which our students describe the program.

The York's Musical Theatre Training Program draws from its vast network of connections to New York City's most successful theatre artists as teachers and guest artists. It offers the unique opportunity of classes taking place in an actual Off-Broadway theatre near the heart of New York's theatre district. The York Theatre Company is one of the few theatres in the world dedicated to developing new musicals as well as rediscovering forgotten musical theatre gems.

This program is for the serious musical theatre student and is led by York's Associate Artistic Director and Director of Education, Michael Unger. It is a rigorous, yet nurturing, program that helps students find and celebrate their strengths and talents in an ensemble-oriented environment. And EVERYBODY is well-featured in the final showcase.

For more information contact Michael Unger, Associate Artistic Director and Director of Education, at (212) 935-5824 ext. 220 or mttp@yorktheatre.org.
