First rehearsal planned for October 15, 2017.
Opening November 17 and
closing December 17.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

Leigh Anne Rainey: Leigh is a fiery and opinionated older white woman (55-75). She was raised as a southern belle but has become fiercely independant. She had cancer years earlier that is now coming out of remission.
Even Rainey (30-40): Eve is Leigh's son Bobby's wife and his high school sweetheart. she had dreams of modeling and moving off to a big city on one of the coasts. Her dreams were cut short by Bobby's mon getting sick and the birth of their son who has special needs. She still has dreams to get out of Alexandria but is wondering if she is ever going to get the chance.
Duke Rainey: Duke (7-10) is a highly functioning kid who is on the Autism spectrum. He goes to specialists but mostly enjoys video games.
Andre Calhoun: (30-40) Andre is June's nephew. He has worked hard to lose the souther drawl. He has made a point of distancing himself from the social southern expectations that he grew up around. He wants to leave the south ahd make his own name for himself.
Doctor Cavanaugh: (30-50) NYC doctor. Kind and understanding, really cares about his patients.
Father Brooks: (50-70) Father Brooks is a southern preacher. He has a heavy dose of hubris mixed with a charming appeal to his congregation. Ultimately he feels that he knows what's right for all of them.
Quickdraw: Southern Redneck. (30's)
June Collins: June is an older (55-75), no nonsense African American woman. She has a deep Louisiana southern accent. Although she never graduated high school, she has an intuitive understanding of people and social situations.Stron willed, she likes to pick up bits of gossip whenever she can. Has a strong sense of family and especially loves good southern cooking and older Jazz music.
