DESCRIPTION

The Producing Manager plays a vital artistic role for the college by curating and producing each season of theater productions.  This position leads the planning and development of all performances and events, facilitates artistic development and outreach initiatives, selects plays to be performed by a wide variety of students and recruits artistic personnel.  This is a great opportunity for a creative individual with strong organizational/managerial skills interested in developing their own programs and initiatives, while also managing our existing programming.

Responsibilities include:

- Creating and maintaining detailed production calendars
- Creating and tracking production budgets and expenses
- Facilitating events and performances with our in-house Technical Director (TD)
- Coordinating all administrative aspects of productions, screenings and special  events
- Working with the TD to ensure that production technical requirements are met
- Hiring directors, designers and all necessary production staff for shows and events
- Creating artist contracts and basic paperwork
- Creating/editing programs, posters and other internal publications
- Working closely with other departments and administration to handle all aspects of production from marketing, to accounting, to student services
- Coordinating the construction and execution of all design elements 
- Attending technical, dress rehearsals and performances
- Facilitating new programs and initiatives to further the artistic development of productions and the Institute
- Generally maintaining our two 80-seat theaters with the aid of the TD
- Must have broad production experience and general knowledge of the technical aspects of production, including lighting, sound, costumes and carpentry
- Must possess working knowledge of MSOffice, industry software, Photoshop and InDesign
- Hours are primarily afternoon/evening and depend on upcoming projects
