Productions Interns are offered the opportunity to sharpen their skills through hands-on technical experience and collaboration. Over the course of their intensive residencies, interns will work with a skilled production staff to stage three mainstage productions.  Applications are due no later than January 15, 2020. A weekly stipend of $200 is paid, plus tech bumps based on the Season Production Calendar.

STAGE MANAGEMENT Stage Management Internships are available beginning mid-April to support pre-production and rehearsals in NYC. Interns will work alongside Equity Stage Managers on productions rehearsing and performing in repertory at the unique outdoor Theater Tent in the Hudson Valley. SM Interns will gain hands on experience running deck tracks, managing repertory rehearsals, working with AEA actors, and have the opportunity to work on developmental readings in a professional regional theater setting. Stage Management Interns have the option to join the Equity Membership Candidacy program. All production interns will have the chance to participate in a variety of classes geared toward strengthening their technical and administrative skill sets. This position is required to work outdoors at the Theater Tent and must be able to lift 50lbs.

LIGHTING Lighting Internships are available beginning in May. The Lighting Intern will work alongside our Master Electrician to execute designs by world class designers at our unique outdoor Theater Tent. Lighting Interns will gain skills in Ion programming, maintaining paperwork, and running shows in repertory in a professional regional theater. The ideal applicant should have a basic understanding of hang, focus, programming, design, and electrical safety, and will learn to work with a unique outdoor plot, repertory schedule, and advanced industry equipment. All production interns will have the chance to participate in a variety of classes geared toward strengthening their technical and administrative skill sets. This position is required to work outdoors at the Theater Tent and must be able to lift 50lbs 

SOUND Sound Internships are available beginning in May. The Sound Intern will work alongside our Sound Supervisor to execute designs by world class designers at our unique outdoor Theater Tent. The Sound Intern will work will wireless microphones and comm, gaining A2 skills, and receive one-on-one mentoring and experience with advanced professional equipment and digital mixing consoles. This internship provides an opportunity to work with a unique outdoor plot, repertory schedule, and advanced industry equipment.  The ideal applicant should be detail-oriented and personable with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. An understanding of QLab and basic audio equipment is appreciated. All production interns will have the chance to participate in a variety of classes geared toward strengthening their technical and administrative skill sets. This position is required to work outdoors at the Theater Tent and must be able to lift 50lbs.

WARDROBE Wardrobe Internships are available beginning in May. Interns work alongside Costume Design and Wardrobe professionals to bring world class designs to life. Wardrobe Interns will gain experience building costumes, working with actors in fittings, maintaining stock, and running & maintaining shows in repertory at a professional regional theater. The ideal applicant should be detail-oriented and personable with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A working knowledge of sewing, construction, repair, and costume maintenance is required. Skill with hair/wig styling and make-up application is appreciated. All production interns will have the chance to participate in a variety of classes geared toward strengthening their technical and administrative skill sets. This position is required to work outdoors at the Theater Tent and must be able to lift 50lbs.

PROPS Prop Internships are available beginning in May. Prop Interns work with professional Prop Masters to build, source, and maintain props and small scenic pieces for all productions at the Theater Tent. Prop Interns will gain skills as artisans, and also learn how to run deck tracks in repertory at a professional regional theater alongside Equity Stage Mangers. The ideal applicant should be detail-oriented and personable with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A working knowledge of sewing, basic carpentry, painting/crafting skills, or experience shopping and sourcing specialty objects is appreciated.  All production interns will have the chance to participate in a variety of classes geared toward strengthening their technical and administrative skill sets. This position is required to work outdoors at the Theater Tent and must be able to lift 50lbs.

COMPANY MANAGEMENT Company Management Internship is available beginning in May. The CM Intern will work with the Company Manager to arrange travel and housing for all guest artists, and oversee the operations to support all artists and employees in residence. Company Management is responsible for building enthusiasm within the artist community, including planning group activities and parties throughout the season.  Interns will learn AEA union rules, gain experience with contracts, execute logistics related to artist support, and budget management. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, confident working with spreadsheets, managing multiple projects and personable with the ability to work effectively with many different personalities in a fast-paced environment. Driver’s license and excellent driving record required, but a vehicle is provided. All production interns will have the chance to participate in a variety of classes geared toward strengthening their technical and administrative skill sets. This position is required to work outdoors at the Theater Tent and must be able to lift 50lbs.

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT Production Management Internship is available in April. The Production Management Intern will work closely with the Director of Production to support all departments and productions in the 2020 season. The Production Management Intern will gain experience sourcing materials, managing budgets, tracking finances, renting equipment, and maintaining multiple shows rehearsing and running in repertory in a professional regional theater. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, confident working with spreadsheets, managing multiple projects and personable with the ability to work effectively with many different personalities in a fast-paced environment. Driver’s license and excellent driving record required, but a vehicle is provided. All production interns will have the chance to participate in a variety of classes geared toward strengthening their technical and administrative skill sets. This position is required to work outdoors at the Theater Tent and must be able to lift 50lbs.
