Begins rehearsals Monday, January 14, 2019, and runs at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center February 8-24, 2019.

AthensWest Theatre Company operates on an SPT3 contract with Actors’ Equity Association. Roles are available for both Equity and non- Equity performers, and non-Equity performers have the opportunity to earn EMC points through this production. All actors will be paid. EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

George: male, 48-65, an academic. Caught in a job that he thought would lead to great things, but

hasn’t. A drinker to help that malady. He loves Martha very much.
Nick: male, 25-40, an ambitious young professor. Handsome, smart and knows it. Upwardly mobile.

Honey, 20-35, simple but clever. She wants to be the best wife ever but things haven’t necessarily turned out like she thought they would. A little needy and flighty.

The audition will consist of cold readings from the script. Please bring a resume and headshot. Auditionees interested in reading the play in advance may do so at the Lexington Downtown Public Library, 140 East Main Street, where the script is kept on reserve.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult
