Type: Full Time
Astor Show Productions is looking for a Full-time Stage Manager for its New York Production of Blue Man Group.
The Full-time Stage Manager calls an average of 2-3 shows per week ensuring that each performance runs in accordance with Blue Man Group standards. This position assists the PSM with the day-to-day running of the show; including consistent calling of the show, smooth and safe running of all activities back stage, on-stage, and in the house; overseeing pre-show, sound check, and post-show notes process to ensure maintenance of the artistic and technical aesthetic of the show as informed by the PSM and the local Direction team. This position is responsible for coordinating all daily activities in the theatre in conjunction with the local managers, such as: rehearsals, workshops, visits, work calls and events, as well as, creating and distributing all weekly and monthly schedules to the local company. In addition, this position serves as the point person for the local company with the Casting and Training process and works closely with PSM and the Training Director to ensure systems run effectively.
Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to): administrative support, participating in the planning and execution of local outside gigs, and monitoring the daily activities of the theater.
Candidates must possess strong organizational and communication skills. 2-3 years professional stage management experience is required. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.
