Blue Man Productions (BMP), best known for our theatrical production Blue Man Group, has an exciting opportunity for a Press Associate to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Press and working closing with the Press Manager, this role provides administrative and secretarial support for the Press department. This is a great chance to work with a highly collaborative team in a growing entertainment organization.
Responsibilities of this role will include: Coordinating meeting and conference schedules, creating meeting agendas, note-taking during departmental meetings, drafting and answering correspondence, arranging travel and transportation for department members, coordinating and managing press materials, assembling press kits, filing and faxing, ordering supplies, working on special projects, and miscellaneous duties as assigned. In addition, this role will be asked to work on special projects for the department on an ad hoc basis.
Candidates should have at least one year of administrative support experience, preferably in press. Candidates should be self-starters, be able to work with minimal supervision, highly organized, and able to multi-task in a busy environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook & Excel required.
