Description

Manhattan Repertory Theatre Summer Fest's production of The Housewarming:

SYNOPSIS
All Frank asks is to be left alone in his new house. But some members of his community conspire to force him out, one way or another -- whether he likes it or not. A two-act comedy of menace exploring the virtues of loneliness and the danger of manners.

Character Breakdown
FRANK MASON: Recently moved into town.  Keeps to himself or at least tries to. Late 20's - early 30's.

WINSTON: Dry, jaded due to the nature of his job.  So much so, he is sick, but if he doesn't do it who will? Character is supposed to be in his 50's, but the right actor and makeup artist may well meet this need..

DEBRA: A representative from the neighborhood.  Exudes sociability.  Lives for talk. A mother, she would be in her late 20's-early 30's.

ED: Large or small, a menace. A volcano that could erupt at any moment. Should look older and be physically threatening.

MELISSA: Debra's daughter, pre-teens. Though her time on stage is brief, her presence is surely felt throughout.

Rehearsal start date is flexible but the following dates are set:
Tech: Aug 4th & 5th 8pm-10:30 pm
Performances: Aug 6th,7th, & 8th at 9pm.

Please email Danielle Bauman at mouslie@aol.com for sides, audition location and times.
