Title ADV: Actors - Do You Need An Agent?
Category Performer
Description We are The Network Studio East and we provide actors with an opportunity to meet with agents & casting directors.
What we offer is NOT for those who want to break into acting...we're looking for actors that have done all they can on their own, actors that have booked things through Backstage & Craigslist, Actors Access, etc and now need to meet casting directors and agents to send them out on the bigger and better jobs out there! Actors that are frustrated by doing mailings without any luck and just want...need the opportunity to get themselves in front of an agent or casting director.
We are The Network Studio East and we have been running valuable workshops for actors for some time now, and the thing we hear most is
"I need an agent...how do I get one?"
Well, you can do mailings but the truth is agents get hundreds of headshots a week and don't usually even have the time to open the envelopes.
So why our agent night workshops? First and foremost, they are great learning experiences...They give you a chance to learn about the business from the people IN the business...then, you have the chance to do a Q & A with them...most actors have a lot of questions that they get different answers to...let the agents and casting directors tell you themselves...and finally...you get a chance to perform for them...no headshot that they open can ever express your talent and personality...so we also offer the chance to perform for them...The Network Studio East is proud to present NY Agent Nights & Casting Director Workshops! Giving actors the rare opportunity to learn from, ask questions to and most importantly, perform for some great NY agents, managers and casting directors. We also consistently bring in top casting directors from Los Angeles from shows like House, Passions, Lost, Medium, Nip Tuck, Desperate Housewives, and from films like Lord of the Rings, Blades of Glory, Eurotrip & Pulp Fiction and head casting people from Sony, MGM and NY soap casting directors from As The World Turns & One Life To Live.

Both Union & Non-Union Actors welcome and we see ages 15 and up. This is not for absolute beginners; we want people with training and/or some experience. This business is far too difficult for you not to be proactive about your career...don't wait for the phone to ring, make it ring. For a list of our upcoming Agent Nights, Personal Manager workshops and Casting Director workshops please e-mail Joshua@thenetworkstudioeast.com
