AEG ThemeSTAR Finance / Accounting Manager
Location: DC / MD / VA
Overview
AEG ThemeSTAR produces and promotes theatrical tours throughout the world. While operating abroad, AEG ThemeSTAR faces unique challenges involving invoices in multiple currencies, unusual show settlement procedures, and alternative payment methods. These challenges combined with the appropriate level of accountability and control processes that need to be in place require that a new employee be hired whose primary responsibility is to focus on and manage these details of payables and receivables and to track these against operating budgets.
Responsibilities
• Management of the tour accounts payable and receivable process
• Primary liaison between AEG Finance and touring personnel, partners and external agencies
• Preparation, maintenance, reporting of internal and external financial reports and analyses
• Maintain effective communication and coordination with company personnel, departments and management to budget, track, and reforecast activities
• Prepare accounting and financial reporting for all events
• Prepare journal entries, accrue receivables and payables as needed
• Create monthly show schedules to report show results
• Manage royalty tracking, reporting and payments to licensors
• Receive and review coding of all tour invoices
• Finalize settlements, and coordinate with counterparts to track down outstanding settlement numbers
• Coordinate with counterparts to ensure timely and accurate disbursement of tour payroll through the applicable payroll services
• Create and manage funding requests for foreign bank accounts
• Assist in the creation of tour and production budgets
• Update tours and input settlements into the master accounting system
• Process approved payments for foreign currency transactions
• Compile VAT and GST reports
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelors Degree Accounting or Finance
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work from home
• Touring entertainment experience a strong plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multi-cultural colleagues
• Highly organized, effective time management skills and the ability to work across multiple time zones
• Experience with international financial transactions, BACS payments, VAT and GST preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred
This is a work-from-home full time position. Applicant must be able to work from a home office. Washington DC area is preferred, but not required. Periodic domestic and international travel required.
