Description
|
The Education Assistant is responsible for the assisting with day-to-day operations of the Project Playwright program and other Education department classes and programs and providing support as needed to the Director of Education.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
PROJECT PLAYWRIGHT
Assist with travel arrangements and lodging for visiting playwrights; secure/arrange for transportation for visiting playwrights while they are in the Upper Valley
Provide administrative support for visiting playwrights during program including, filing, typing, copying, proofreading, purchasing/supplying necessary materials, process receipts for reimbursement of petty cash to visiting playwrights
Assist in Project Playwright classrooms as needed
Assist in securing Project Playwright program in-kind donations
Work with the Project Playwright partner schools and NS staff to organize and determine performance dates for Project Playwright On Tour and Festival Week
Purchase scripts and supplies as needed for Project Playwright program
Serve as a liaison between Northern Stage and Project Playwright partner schools; assist in scheduling classroom times at the partner schools for visiting playwrights
Supervise the administration of all Project Playwright assessment
As needed, document through photos and video, the Project Playwright program
Keep running totals of all Project Playwright expenditures and income
Collect all publicity and media material featuring Project Playwright and maintain the Project Playwright bible
Recruit and coordinate all volunteers for Project Playwright and the Project Playwright Festival
EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Teach classes and programs within the Education Department as needed
Assist with Northern Stages educational class program including taking registrations, correspondence, answering questions from the public, coordinating lesson and unit plans, sending registration confirmations, supporting instructors as needed, processing class payments in CHOICE
Assist as needed with the Northern Stage Ensemble including managing Family Point cards, supervising volunteers and coordinating family efforts in support of Northern Stage
Assist as needed with the administration of in-school residencies and school matinee performances
Assist as needed with the Education Committee
Assist as needed with the marketing and promotion efforts of the department and with the general administration of the Education office
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Education
Location: Northern Stage in White River Junction, Vermont
Start Date: As soon as possible (preferably by mid-June)
Starting Salary: Competitive
