Miss Furnival: 40s-50s, Severely repressed gentlewoman/spinster who becomes undone by a boozy evening adventure, scared of the dark
Colonel Melkett: 50s, Carol's authoritarian father; suspicious, alarmist, judgmental and terrifying
Harold Gorringe: 30s-50s;
Brindsley's artsy neighbor, VERY particular owner of a china shop; like Miss Furnival, he mourns the loss of refinement in the world
George Bamberger: 50-60s; deaf millionare art collector, German
Clea: 20s, Brindsley's stunning exgirlfriend, mischievous and emotional
Schupppanzigh: 30s-50s, pleasant German electrician, blue collar, surprisingly cultivated
Glorious: The True Story of Florence Foster Jenkins, The Worst Singer in the World by Peter Quilter
Rehearsals start July 29, 2008
Show runs August 15-September 7
Directed by Brendan Burke
Florence: 50s-60s, the worst singer in the world, a wealthy socialite with unequated passion for music and opera, a larger than life eccentric who believes her voice is a gift to the world; is not aware of how her voice really sounds and protects herself from her detractors. The actress who plays Florence will sing (badly) but should have a fine operatic voice
Cosme McMoon: 30s. Florence's new accompanist; an attractive cynic with a wry sense of humor whose initial compromise to work with Florence only for the money is eventually overcome by respect for her passion and enthusiasm. Piano skills helpful but not necessary
St. Clair: 50s-60s; Florence's companion; an unsuccessful British actor with a theatrical flair and a wandering eye
Dorothy: 50s-60s; Florence's friend, flighty and loyal
Maria: 30s-50s, Florence's Mexican maid, speaks no English, tires of Florence easily
Mrs. George: 30s-50s; Ardent music purist, condemns Florence's work
Rising Water by Joyn Biguenet
Rehearsals start August 26, 2008
Show runs September 12-September 28
Directed by John Pietrowski
Camille: 50s; a slender woman who in her prime was probably thought of as very attractive. She's aged and hasn't made any efforts to slow the progress. Born in New Orleans and lived there all her life. When she married, she married down a little
Sug: 50s; Camille's husband; a heavy set man, was rugged handsome at one time. Born in New Orleans area and lived there all his life
