Actors' Equity Association is currently seeking to fill the position of Agency Representative to act as the liaison between the Members and Equity's Franchised Agents. This position is responsible for resolving issues, answering questions, interpreting agency contracts for both Members and Franchised Agents, and maintaining relationships between Members, franchised agents, and Actors' Equity Association.
The ideal candidate must be articulate -- able to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations, be savvy in conflict resolution, and be self-motivated.
Ongoing duties include but are not limited to: processing Franchise Applications, Agency Contracts and Chorus Commission Applications. The Agency Representative also serves as staff liaison to the Agency Committee.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Maintains relations between union, members, and franchised agents.
- Administers agency agreements.
- Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
- Completes projects on time.
- Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others.
- Manages difficult or emotional situations; Responds promptly to Member needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.

- Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information.
