Title Winter/Spring Internship
Category Intern
Description Above the Title Entertainment is currently seeking a full-time or part-time intern for the Spring term (January – May). Start and end dates are negotiable.

Established in 2006, Above the Title Entertainment is a live performance production and development company as well as an entertainment sponsorship consultancy. Its founder, Jed Bernstein, served as President of The Broadway League for 11 years. Recently, it has co-produced the revival of Oleanna starring Julia Stiles and Bill Pullman, the Tony winning revival of Hair, the smash hit revival of Equus starring Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths, and the Tony nominated Passing Strange, as well as many special events for Gracie Mansion and the Greater YMCA of New York, among others. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with Mr. Bernstein on a daily basis, participating in the production business from the top-down.

Mr. Bernstein also serves as Executive Director of the Commercial Theater Institute (CTI), a project of TDF and The Broadway League that has been training theatre producers and professionals for 29 years. Interns will be involved with the development and preparations for all CTI programs.

The ideal candidate will have interest and experience in theatrical production, administrative experience, organization skills, excellent communication and writing skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of general computer troubleshooting is a plus. This internship is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn more about commercial theatre producing or plans to pursue a career in theatre.

Responsibilities will include a variety of daily administrative tasks, such as filing/phone/mail, etc. Interns will also have the opportunity to create/complete various special assignments and projects throughout the term.

General office hours are Monday through Friday 10am – 6pm. We are looking for a commitment of 10-20 hours per week.

College credit may be available (depending on your school).
