Weathervane Repertory Theatre of Whitefield, NH is seeking qualified applicants for their 48th season of rotating repertory. Applicants should have experience in theatrical Costume Design and sewing techniques.
First Hand/Costume Designer- Applicant should have prior experience in costume design in an advanced setting. Expertise of sewing techniques, such as but not limited to, draping, patterning, construction, altering and other costume crafts (Wigs, Millinery, special effects makeup…etc.) Applicant will have opportunity to design 1-3 shows of the 7 show season.
Stitcher/Costume Designer – Applicant should have prior experience in advanced setting. Expertise of sewing techniques, such as but not limited to, draping, patterning, construction, altering and other costume crafts (Wigs, Millinery, special effects makeup…etc.). Design opportunity BOE
Costume/Wardrobe Intern – Applicant should have some previous theatrical experience. This position will work with both Costume and Wardrobe departments throughout the season. Please note that this is an intern position. Small stipend is available.
Weathervane Repertory Theatre, in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, is an AEA venue celebrating its 48th season of summer theatre. Upcoming season includes seven shows, 5 musicals and two plays. Season is not solidified yet but already announced shows include Les Miserables, Annie Get your Gun, Shrek, and Once on this Island. Shows will run in rotating repertory.
The Costume/ Wardrobe department are critical members of the Weathervane team who, with the Costume shop manager, provide costumes and accessories for 5 main stage musicals, 2 plays, and up to 4 musicals with the Weathervane Intern Program (WIP) theater for young audiences, and other special events.
Positions will pay a weekly salary dependent on experience and will also include double occupancy housing and three meals a day, six days a week.
