New York Stage and Film (SAF), a non-profit AEA Company which produces its summer season of new plays at the Powerhouse Theater at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY, seeks an Assistant Costume Shop Supervisor for the 2013 Powerhouse Season. Season includes 2-3 fully-produced mainstage productions, 2-3 musical workshops, 2-3 play workshops, and 8-10 readings. The Assistant Costume Shop Supervisor helps the Supervisor to oversee all aspects of Department including: constructing/pulling/shopping costumes for all mainstage productions and workshops, taking notes during fittings and techs, care and maintenance of stock, and supervision of wardrobe process, and co-training/management of 3 interns with the Shop Supervisor. Previous management or First Hand experience preferred. Stitching and draping abilities required; some knowledge of make-up, wig, and hair preferred. Salary and housing provided for full-time work from June 9th to August 4th.
