Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA)offers tools for the actor aiming to master the perfect Blanche DuBois, Rhett Butler, or even Bo & Luke Duke!
Limited space remains in DIALECTS 2: SOUTHERN ACCENTS, taught by Jane Guyer Fujita(Acting Lecturer, Yale School of Drama). This 5-week class will focus on a variety of accents from the American South, including both hard and soft "r" southern accents. You will also consider the accents in racial and historical contexts, learning how to determine which southern accent is appropriate for different characters in different plays. Specific accents will include those from : Charlotte, NC; the Mississippi Delta; Georgia; New Orleans; and Texas. You will leave this class prepared to take on any role with a Southern accent.
Begins April 9.
