The Broadway Teachers Workshop, a program connecting theatre teachers from around the world with the Broadway community, seeks interns for summer 2013.
Held at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre, the Broadway Teachers Workshop is a series of three-day programs and a single-day technical workshop in which high school theatre teachers from around the world come to New York to meet with Broadway casts and creative teams for panels, workshops and masterclasses - and to see four shows.
Interns will be able to sit in on classes and workshops, meet with Broadway guests, and join the group for select Broadway shows.
Intern responsibilities include administrative/clerical duties, greeting and assisting participants, email and phone confirmations, liaison to Broadway guests, help with production of workshops, and representing the organization.
Seeking motivated, bright theatre and theatre education students who would like to gain insight into the workings of Broadway and have a genuine interest in theatre education. This is an excellent opportunity for an overview of the industry and a great way to meet prominent members of the Broadway community.
Please send a letter of inquiry and a resume or bio to the Broadway Teaching Group via email.
