St. Ann’s Warehouse, a mid-size, award-winning presenting/producing organization in Brooklyn, home to the American Avant-Garde, international companies of stature, and emerging and mid-career artists involved in inter-disciplinary theatre and music collaborations, seeks a Director of Finance. The Director of Finance is responsible to the Executive Director, Artistic Director, and Board of Directors and is charged with the organization’s financial oversight, management, HR and administration. This leadership position is a key component of St. Ann’s management team, and works directly with all top members of the organization including Artistic Director, General Manager, Director of External Affairs, Marketing Director, Development Team and the Production Manager.
Candidates should have: a minimum of 5 years experience in the financial management of a non-profit organization with a strong preference for those with performing arts experience, and the ability to oversee a $3.5 million budget, including 5-year forecasting. Applicants should also possess strong time management skills, excellent negotiating abilities, knowledge of Peachtree accounting software, OvationTix software, MS Office, Apple OS; an awareness of IT troubleshooting; a strong work ethic, and excellent oral as well as written communication skills.
