Gretna Theatre, Mt. Gretna, PA seeking season Technical Director, Props Master and other staff for summer stock season of five productions and two concert events.
Also seeking LOCAL carpenters, assistant stage managers, wardrobe, scenic charge artist, sound designer/operator and company manager.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR primarily charged with set construction and installation in a hands-on environment. Scheduling, adherence to budgets and problem-solving required. Shop set up begins May 6. Season runs through August 25 with final clean up and stowage through August 30, 2013. Housing and r/t transportation provided. Paid.
PROPS MASTER/MISTRESS (2) to work with scenic designer & directors to realize the props and set dressing for each of five productions. Must be able to find & purchase as well as build, be handy with tools from screw gun to sewing machine and be able to work independently. May 20 - August 25 with final stowage of props by August 30, 2013. Prefer local candidate but housing and R/T transportation provided if not. Paid.
STAFF/CREW Needs: The following must have local housing & transportation within commutable distance of Mt. Gretna:
CARPENTERS to build and install scenic elements under the direction of the TD and Scenic Designer. Ability with carpentry, tools and independent thinking a must, theatre carpentry experience a big plus. Must be over 18. Paid.
ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGERS to work with the AEA season stage manager; school/community theatre experience a plus. Attend rehearsals, take blocking, call breaks, take notes, run rehearsal props, deck captain some/all of the five productions. Paid.
WARDROBE person(s) to work with season costumer to assist with alterations, run the shows backstage, attend to repairs as needed, attend to laundry and cleaning as needed. Must have at least basic machine and hand sewing skills, be organized and attentive to detail. May 30 - August 25, with final stowage completed by August 30, 2013. Paid.
SCENIC CHARGE ARTIST to work closely with Scenic Designer and TD to paint scenic elements through the season. Experience preferred, schooling/training as scenic artist a plus. May 20 - August 25, 2013 (could end a week earlier depending on build schedule). Paid.
SOUND DESIGN/OPERATOR to assemble sound effects as needed, design sound requirements working with each director for each production. Assist in the running of sound for two concert events. Run sound for five productions on 24 channel sound board, utilizing 16 wireless headsets, assistive listening devices and clear-com headsets. Experience necessary. May 29 - August 25, 2013. Paid.
COMPANY MANAGER is primarily tasked with coordinating and overseeing the housing and transportation of the actors for the season. Familiarity with the area a plus. Must have valid driver license and must exhibit a steady nature. Organizational skills are paramount in this job, as overlapping rehearsals and performances require constant schedule juggling. Must be able to help with furniture moves, cleaning when needed. Must be over 18 years old. May 13 - August 28, 2013. Paid.
