FOR 5:1 Showcase

Senses Askew Company is seeking a stage manager for five short plays in a showcase!

Each play is unique and was chosen for the showcase because they resonated the mission of our Company which is exploring works that reflect the common denominator - the sense of humanity.

H/She:

-scheduling and running rehearsals

-communicating the director's wishes to designers and crafts people

-coordinating the work of the stage crew

-calling cues and possibly actors' entrances during performance

-overseeing the entire show each time it is performed

In conjunction with the five directors, the stage manager determines the scheduling of all rehearsals and makes sure everyone involved is notified of rehearsal times, meetings, costume fittings and coaching sessions. During the rehearsal phase,

-mark out the dimensions of the set on the floor of the rehearsal hall

-make sure rehearsal props and furnishings are available for the actors
-attend all rehearsals

-notify the designers and crafts people of changes made in rehearsal


-communicate directly with Executive Director of the company as well.


MUST BE NON-UNION


*American Sign Language user is a plus!

Tuesday, April 20th; 1-5 p.m.
Thursday, May 2nd; 1-5 p.m.
Saturday, May 4th; 2-6 p.m.
Monday, May 6th; 6-10 p.m.
Tuesday, May 7th; 6-10 p.m.
Wednesday, May 8th; 3-10 p.m.
Thursday, May 9th; 3-6 p.m.
