SHOW BLURB:
Sex, intimacy, and honesty went mud wrestling and are trying to get clean, but they just keep Olympic-diving into it. CONTIGO explores how two people, Tigo and Dena, bare all and desperately venture through all possible means of salvation in order to seek change and resuscitation after trauma. The play is partly based on a massacre that occurred in the town of Florida, Puerto Rico on New Year’s day, 2011. May those who passed away rest in peace, and may those who survived, live in it.

SYNOPSIS:
CONTIGO explores how two people, Tigo and Dena, desperately seek change and help each other heal after trauma. Tigo is a young man who believes in the good in people until his worldview is shattered after a traumatic experience that ends with the murder of various members of his family at the hand/torch of his uncle. The play also follows Dena, a young woman seeking change in her life after a night when her boyfriend of seven years took advantage of her sexually while they were drunk. Dena is desperately trying to get back into intimacy, but at the same time she is extremely terrified of it, so she seeks the help of the only man she’s not afraid of, her boyfriend’s best friend, Tigo.
