Playhouse Productions is now hiring a Production Management Intern for our 2013 Equity, five show, summer season for Bucks County Playhouse, one of America’s oldest and storied summer theaters, located right on the Delaware river in beautiful New Hope, Pa. Now into our second full season, we have added state of the art sound, lighting and rigging equipment and need an eager Intern to help coordinate all backstage departments. He or she will also have the opportunity to work with top designers, a dedicated staff and talented performers. The Production Management Intern’s responsibilities include:
• Assisting with departmental budgets
• Creating schedules
• Running errands
• Working with scene shops
• Coordinating staff duties
• Maintaining time sheets
• Working with professional actors, stage managers, directors and designers
• Answering telephones
• Coordinating in house special projects
Qualifications:
Candidate must be eager to learn, have good communication skills and a positive attitude. He or she must be flexible with their work hours, be a hard worker and be able to adapt to last minute changes. Candidate must be resourceful, creative and have good problem solving skills.
