Created for dancers, The "Breaking Into Commercials Workshop" is an on-camera commercial workshop for those performers who wish to explore and/or transition into the commercial world.

Fatima, Director of BLOC agency's commercial department represents numerous commercial actors in dozens of national commercial spots and countless other commercial projects. Barry Shapiro, Vice President and Casting Director at Herman Lipson Casting, casts for top accounts like ESPN, L'Oreal, Verizon, American Express, Papa John's and Advil.

In this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with these two professionals in a no-pressure, effective working environment!

May 9th: Overview of Commercials with Barry
- Explanation of the various types of Commercials
- Review sides for mock audition
- On Camera Side Read

May 16th: Mock Audition with Barry & Fatima
- Everyone will receive the same copy and will present it to Barry and Fatima on-camera through a friendly mock-audition
- Barry and Fatima will take you through the entire commercial process, even going behind the scenes so you can get a better understanding of how casting a commercial works!
