ADV: The John Tedeschi Voice Studio

The John Tedeschi Voice Studio
Category: Classes

Description:

“John Tedeschi's willingness to help whenever, wherever is one of his best qualities. Finding a voice teacher who always makes himself available to help is rare in the city and John has always been there to offer coachings and voice lessons when it comes to auditions, callbacks, and overall technique work. His repertoire and ability to find new material that specifically fits your voice is also another great quality you'll find in John. I would definitely recommend him to anyone whether they've been in the business for a long time, or if they are just starting out. He has something to offer everyone.” -- Christine Dwyer, Elphaba in WICKED, Second National Tour

BREATH
Stability of support is a foundation for placement, range, versatility, focus and stamina. With John’s technique, your breath, larynx, and vocal cords will promote the true artist in you to emerge with color, capacity, depth, volume and nuance.

STYLE
Extremely-rangy-mix/belt, legit, rock, musical theater, pop, opera, comic and all in between are taught. John teaches that technique and style are two very distinct forums and good solid technique will help the singer perform any style necessary.

ACT
Performance techniques, repertory selections and audition preparation are worked strongly as well. Strong musical and acting choices are discussed and coached for better story-telling...the singer must use the voice to paint the text.

“What is so special about John Tedeschi? His generosity in sharing everything he knows about the voice and technique and how to apply it to any genre. He builds your trust in yourself and him as he guides you through the sometimes difficult journey of music. He can also be very direct and pointed when he feels that you are working below your standards, you can’t get away with laziness on John's watch. He is an artist, a fantastic teacher and a dear friend.”
HARRIETT D. FOY, Broadway, Off-Broadway, Regional, Film, Commercial and TV

“John Tedeschi is UNIQUE. There is simply no one to compare him to... and that is what makes him so wonderful! His remarkable teaching expertise is only matched by his incredibly personal approach to each student. My instrument has never sounded clearer, brighter and felt as healthy as it has when working his techniques and methods, and the results have been numerous Broadway and regional callbacks and working with my first agent!”
CHRISTOPHER KAUFFMANN, off-Broadway, Regional, Commercial and TV

“When I came to John to train my voice, I had no idea that after walking into his studio, he would become more than my voice teacher, but also a life-changing mentor, technician, and acting coach. He not only has complete understanding of the voice and song interpretation technique, but he also is a supportive and loving educator. In our lessons, he pushes me to strengthen my vocal and acting technique, while simultaneously allows for questions and reflections, which creates an incomparable trust between us.”
SAMANTHA JOY PEARLMAN, Regional, TYA, and Film
