ADV: Affordable Voice Lessons

AFS
Category: Classes

Description:

Are you a dancer or actor learning to sing for the first time?

Are you a singer wanting to brush up on your vocal technique?

Did you take voice lessons in college but find that the cost is too high to keep it up here in NYC?

Is you voice starting to feel stuck or do you feel like you're losing your range?

AFS offers affordable vocal technique lessons for all levels and can help you reach the next level with your voice!

My goal as a voice teacher is to impart my students with the tools to be working professionals in musical theatre. I work with each student to find their most functional voice as well as help them problem solve issues they may encounter as a musical theatre performer. I believe in the versatility of the voice, the ability to sing in multiple styles, and I work to help my students achieve their individual goals. I help all my students work towards success in musical theatre no matter their age or experience. My technique comes from my years of performing experience, my Master of Music in Vocal Performance, and my Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy.

One of my goals as a teacher is to always remain affordable for the student. As an active performer myself, I know how hard it can be to pay for lessons and classes, so I keep my rates low.

1 hour lesson: $60
1/2 hour lesson: $35

I teach out of my Astoria studio, but can make arrangements to teach in Manhattan for an additional fee.

Active voice students also receive discounts of other classes offered from Amanda Flynn Studio such as Career Coaching, Song Workshop, and Auditioning for Musical Theatre.

Here's what students are saying:

"Amanda knows how to work with you where you are and give you the confidence you need to continue growing. She takes a genuine interest in her students' success. I always walk out of my lesson smiling!" Hope W.

"Through my lessons with Amanda I have gained the correct tools and technique, but most importantly, the confidence to feel like I can tackle any song. It is an incredibly welcoming, nurturing and safe environment where it is ok to make mistakes and learn how to improve from them. Amanda will make the lesson work for you and cater particularly to your voice. She understands that not all voices are the same, which is incredibly difficult to find in a teacher. I always leave feeling positive and ready for our next lesson!" Charlotte R.

"Amanda has the ability to dictate her vast knowledge to someone just starting to take a voice class to someone who is a seasoned expert. She makes discovering new parts of your range fun and accessible, and truly takes the time to make sure you understand the steps to get there." Salli M.

"Amanda pushes you out of your comfort zone and encourages anything that could improve your voice." Alessandra B.
