Seeking
9 Actors (4 men, 5 women) for the upcoming musical Xanadu who can sing disco & pop style, as well as be funny & be emotionally connected to the material on a deep level. Equity & Non-Equity roles available. Local hires only. No housing or travel provided
Breakdown
KIRA (CLIO)- Female, 18-30s. Leader of the muses. Pretty, adventurous and perky. Inspires Sonny to build the Xanadu roller disco and falls in love with him. Speaks with an over-the-top Audtralian accent for most of the show. Must roller skate. Range: G3 - C6
SONNY MALONE- Male, 18-30s. California beach artist. A mortal who falls in love with Kira. Handsome with athletic build. Not the sharpest crayon in the box. Must roller skate. Range: D3 - C5
DANNY MAGUIRE (ZEUS)- Male, 50s-60s. Fast-talking LA real estate tycoon. Acerbic and deadpan comedian. Roller skating is negotiable. Range: C3 - D4
MELPOMENE (MEDUSA)- Female, 30s-50s. Kira's jealous and comically evil sister. Srong, inventive comedienne. Roller skating is negotiable. Range: G3 - E5
CALLIOPE (APHRODITE)- Female, 30s-50s. Melpomene's comically quirky sidekick. Roller skating is negotiable. Range: B3 - D5.
ERATO (EROS, HERA and OTHERS)- Female, 18-30s. Fellow muse. Excellent singer/dancer. Must roller skate. Range: B3 - C5
EUTERPE (THETIS and OTHERS): Female, 18-30s. Fellow muse. Excellent singer/dancer. Must roller skate. Range: B3 - C6
TERPSICORE (HERMES, CENTAUR and OTHERS)- Male, 18-30s. Fellow muse. Excellent singer/dancer. Must roller skate. Range: G3 - C5
THALIA (YOUNG DANNY, CYCLOPS and OTHERS)- Male, 18-30s. Fellow muse. Excellent singer/dancer. Must tap dance and roller skate. Range: G3 - C5 7. Submission
