whom have gained representation from our Showcase class.
We took a hiatus from the musical theatre showcase to send our beloved Kat Sherrell off to 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle & to marry off the wonderful, beautiful, awesome, talented, stupendous Steve Edlund. Steve returns to us for this showcase and is joined by new faculty member Lilli Wosk!
We are pleased to offer The Showcase Class again for the month of September. This is the best way to acquire representation in New York City. Over half of our showcase classes receive responses consistently.
Tired of going to seminars where you sing for 5 minutes and the agent never calls you? Or the infamous casting director class where you scramble in your book to find a 32-bar that covers everything that person casts? We want our students to grow and advance. So we've changed the game...
This 4-week class ends in a showcase with the following agents confirmed attendance (all are subject to change):
Take 3 Talent
Nicolosi & Co.
and many more...at least a dozen!
There's a huge blend of major and boutique agencies. The agents will also all submit written feedback, you'll know instantly who's interested in working with you. We will also be having Tara Rubin Casting & Binder Casting (subject to change) coming in to teach class and help you refine your materials for your showcase.
Students will meet once a week with Steve Edlund and Lilli Wosk-
Steve Edlund is the assistant director to four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks. Steve’s credits include Sister Act (Broadway, 1st National Tour), Randy Newman’s Harps and Angels (Center Theatre Group), and Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Center Theatre Group). He is a 2009 graduate of USC where he received his B.A. in Theatre and co-founded Musical Theatre Repertory, USC’s student-run musical theatre company.
Lilli Wosk is a vocal coach, music director and accompanist in New York City. She most recently music directed the National Tour of HAIR. She has been fortunate to serve as music director in and around NYC with such great companies as the New York Theatre Barn, the Astoria Performing Arts Center, and The Gallery Players. As an educator, she has become part of the artistic staff at the Berklee College of Music, Stage Coach Theatre Arts, The San Francisco Arts Education Project, and Education Through Music.

Each week students will work on different material, some of their own choosing, some given by our faculty, until they have found the piece that' going to show them off best. The piece they will present for over a dozen agencies on Showcase day. Class is a fair mix of business vs. technique. If you'd like more information regarding each class, we're happy to send you a more detailed lesson plan.
We will be capping class at 13-15 students. Cost of class is $475, with a discount for any returning students and an even deeper discount if you've taken multiple classes with us. You won't find this many industry personnel for one class anywhere else. If you're serious about getting signed, getting your name out there, and advancing your career, we'd love to have you join us.
