Through The Glade presented by the UNFRINGED FESTIVAL
The members of the Village Theatre Center, a small community theatre in the South, want to put on a production of Into the Woods as a last effort to save their theatre from bankruptcy. They quickly realize they do not have enough money for the rights to Into the Woods, so they decide to do the next best thing: write their own version of the Sondheim classic using underappreciated storybook characters and music from the public domain. The cast and crew of Through the Glade attempt to sing and dance their way out of financial ruin in this satirical look at community theatre, musical theatre, family dynamics, and Southern culture.
