The 29th Annual Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Easter Bonnet Competition raised a new all-time record $4,711,386 in six weeks of nightly curtain-call appeals. That total eclipsed the $4.53 million previous record set one year ago. The number was revealed at the April 21 performance of skits, songs, dances and giant hats that make up the unique fundraiser-show, at the Minskoff Theatre.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS presented the 26th Annual Broadway Flea Market and Grand Auction 10 AM-7 PM Sept. 23. Meet the 2012 Broadway Bears

The 23rd Annual Gypsy of the Year Competition
Literally auctioning the shirt off his back at performances of Hugh Jackman Back on Broadway helped Tony-winning Australian native Hugh Jackman to raise a one-show record of $857,740 as part of the 23rd Annual Gypsy of the Year competition, pushing the total for the Dec. 5-6 Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS fundraising event to a new overall record of $4,895,253.
