The Public Theater hosted their annual gala June 9 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, home to the popular Shakespeare in the Park productions each summer. The event, which included a special performance of The Tempest as well as dinner, celebrates the Public's artistic director of ten years, Oskar Eustis and wife Laurie Eustis.
Jonathan Groff reprised his acclaimed performance as King George in an excerpt from Lin-Manuel Miranda's celebrated show Hamilton at the Lapham's Quartely Gala dinner, Decades Ball: The 1780's on June 1.
Jonathan Groff Teaches Musical Theatre Workshop
On March 22, Jonathan Groff taught a one day musical theatre master class at the Broadway Workshop in New York City. Students in the master class had the opportunity to work with Groff and Broadway Workshop director Marc Tumminelli on song interpretation, audition technique and received individual feedback and coaching.
Featuring the Broadway classics “To Life (L’Chaim!),” “If I Were A Rich Man,” “Sunrise Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” and “Tradition,” Fiddler on the Roof will introduce a new generation to this uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy! To love! To life!
