2011 Tony Awards Preview: Best Revival of a Play

Tom Stoppard's Arcadia luxuriates in an English country house in two different eras where two sets of friends, family and associates discuss ideas of truth, history, meaning and, of course, sex.

Brian Bedford directs and steps into the Victorian shoes of Lady Bracknell in Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, the classic comedy of manners trafficking in love, lies and double lives. Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice, which moved from Shakespeare in the Park to Broadway, conjured romance, revenge and hatred, pitting Lily Rabe's Portia against Al Pacino's merciless moneylender Shylock.

Finally, Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart is a snapshot of a city terrified by a new plague. Joe Mantello plays Ned Weeks, an activist trying to inspire change at the dawn of the age of AIDS.
