PLAYBILL BACKSTAGE: Peeking Behind the Scenes at the RSC's Residency in NYC

Royal Shakespeare Company actor Richard Katz takes Playbill readers on a backstage tour of the famed company's summer repertory venue at Manhattan's Park Avenue Armory. Walking through the backstage of the New York City replica of the RSC's English home, we encounter cross-dressing thespians, cluttered dressing rooms, actor warmups, dance calls and the first-night celebration of As You Like It. The five-play rep schedule (through Aug. 14) also includes Julius Caesar, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet and The Winter's Tale. Visit lincolncenterfestival.org. View Part 2 here.
