Broadway Stars Sing a Tribute to New York, NY, in Memory of 9/11

Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bebe Neuwirth and members of the Broadway community gathered Sept. 9 in Duffy Square, in the north end of Times Square, to perform the Kander and Ebb classic "New York, New York," which they sang there ten years ago in the days after the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001. The performance was inspired by — and in support — of the not-for-profit 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance. Visit 911day.org. Mitchell spoke to Playbill.com about the special event.
