Jonathan Groff Channels His Inner Sutton Foster to Perform "Anything Goes"

Jonathan Groff (Broadway's Spring Awakening, MCC Theater's The Submission, TV's "Boss" and "Glee") enlisted ensemble dancers from Broadway's Tony Award-winning Anything Goes — and even learned Tony winner Kathleen Marshall's choreography — to recreate the eight-minute title tap number from the Cole Porter musical at MCC Theater's March 26 Miscast benefit. Here's the number in all its glory, sung and danced at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan. The annual benefit brings together Broadway stars to perform songs from roles in which they’d never be cast. (Groff also sang "The Music That Makes Me Dance" from Funny Girl.)
