Fulfilling the dream of playwright Tennessee Williams himself (and
using script
revisions made when the author originally conceived of the desegregated
version of the show), director Emily Mann's A Streetcar Named
Desire takes route
through a multi-racial New Orleans. Blair Underwood (Stanley), Nicole
Ari
Parker (Blanche DuBois), Wood Harris (Mitch) and Daphne Rubin-Vega
(Stella)
comprise the cast of the powerhouse drama about faded beauty, romantic
delusion and violent urges. The revival of the Pulitzer Prize winner
officially opens April 22 at the Broadhurst Theatre. For
