"Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project," Part 1

When executive producer Kate Dawson found out she was pregnant, an idea came to her for a way to both honor her cousin, who had passed away from breast cancer, and raise money to support various cancer charities. From this was born "Over the Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project," a two-CD set of original lullabies composed and sung by top Broadway artists, including Raul Esparza, Sutton Foster, Kelli O’Hara, Donna Murphy and Vanessa Williams. A corresponding hardcover book and film documented the recording process. In this sneak peek, Dawson explains the origin of the project with Broadway's Rebecca Luker performing "It's Time, Little Man" with music by Jenny Giering and lyrics by Sean Barry.
