2012 Tony Nominee Christian Borle Dons the Starcatcher 'Stache

A 2012 Tony Award nominee as Best Featured Actor in a Play for his scene-stealing performance as the bumbling, egotistical pirate "Black Stache" in Peter and the Starcatcher, Christian Borle discusses applying the oversized Groucho-esque greasepaint and transforming into one of literature's great villains. The star of NBC-TV's "Smash" is having a high-profile season on small screen and stage, and hopes TV fans will witness the "sense of collaboration" and "support" on display at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre, where he's walking the tightrope of "overacting like a maniac" and playing small moments in Rick Elice's script.
