Nina Arianda: 2012 Tony Winner for Best Actress in a Play

Tony nominated in 2011 for her work as Billie Dawn in Born Yesterday, Nina Arianda once again caught the eye of Tony voters with her sexy and stunning take on Vanda in Venus is Fur. This time, however, she brought home the Tony, earning the Best Actress in a Play Award. Venus is Fur, which started Off-Broadway in 2010 at the Classic Stage Company, had a limited run on Broadway in 2011, then reopened several months later for another special engagement. Arianda received the press and talked about her three year journey with the production, the show's onstage transformation from Off-Broadway to the Lyceum Theatre and the power in assuming one's own brilliance.
