Hands on a Hardbody's Trey Anastasio and Amanda Green Preview Broadway-Bound Musical

Composer and Phish frontman Trey Anastasio and composer-lyricist Amanda Green sat down to talk about the gestation of the score of the Broadway-bound new musical Hands on a Hardbody, as well as preview some of the show's tunes. Drawing from influences such as Dr. John, Aretha Franklin and ZZ Top, Anastasio and Green sought to create a set of songs that complemented the story about a Texas endurance competition first told in a 1997 documentary of the same name. The La Jolla cast, led by Allison Case and David Larsen, preview the songs from the Neil Pepe directed production headed for Broadway in the 2012-2013 season.
