PLAYBILL BACKSTAGE: Evita, Part Two — The Understudies

With video camera in hand, Evita cast member Rachel Potter (you know her as Peron's Mistress) continues her behind-the-scenes tour, and capturing the secret of how an on-stage hospital bed is transformed into a coffin, the magic of the colorful sound board and a last minute put-in rehearsal. The rehearsal inspires Potter to speak with her castmates about their understudy experiences (or lack thereof, in the case of those that cover for iron man Michael Cerveris) and the vital roles that understudies and swings play in keeping a Broadway show moving along.
