With a Song for the Occasion, Bare Celebrates Coming Out Day

Director Stafford Arima and the cast of the upcoming Off-Broadway rock musical Bare, about a secret love between two teenage boys at a Catholic boarding school, celebrated National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11 at the Snapple Theater Center in New York City. The event included Arima talking about his two formative "coming out" moments, and cast member Jason Hite singing the Bare song "Role of a Lifetime," a rumination on identity, masks and performance in the context of forbidden love.
